I know every year I say how much we love the fourth of July. But with all the fun activities - how can you not? My kids have looked forward to this holiday all summer long.
Ezra did not want to have his picture taken - so Adde was trying to cheer him up. These are the two cutest little buddies.
Then he was ready to cooperate
Each year, we go to the Vernon-Worthin park for some festivities. It can attract all sorts of people - but the kids have fun. & with the weather overcast this year - it didn't feel near as hot as in the past even though it was still 100 degrees.
These pictures are so funny. Here's Adde & Ezra going down the big slide.
Oh - there goes Adde
& she made it down - head first. It was pretty funny. & Ez is being his cautious self.
the train ride
bounce house
Then we headed over to Grandma & Grandpa's for our annual West party. It started out with swimming! & then eating. We normally do a bbq - but since it's always so hot - we decided on sandwiches. Ester bought bread from Jimmy Johns & there were all sorts of yummy meats, cheeses & sides to put on....oh it was delish!!
These 2 love to have hold-your-breath-the-longest competitions.
The kids did some racing until it got too competitive for them & fighting began.
We missed not having Kyle & Megan there this year. So weird.
Ester, of course, always has darling little activites for the kids - & they got to make shirts again this year. I love how she hangs them to dry.
This is what Adde waited for all day - the treasure hunt.
The kids & all there loot.
We usually go over to Rachel's {or Megan's in the past} house for some fireworks. & it's usually just our family & a few neighbors. We pull up & they have this huge group congregated in their culdesac with awesome fireworks since Utah legalized the bigger fireworks. It was quite the show. That we decided we didn't need to go see the St. George fireworks. There were huge fireworks going off all around us from other neighborhoods too - it was pretty cool.
I love that Ez choose to wear his slippers. Glad they didn't catch on fire.
The sparklers were a huge hit.
& Rachel was a champ for lighting them for all the kids!
