field day

On Friday, the kindergarteners had field day. I totally remember field day at Forbes elementary. But we would do it a week before school got out, when each class performed a dance too. How funny!

Adde really surprised me by how fast she is. We see her in soccer & she is super fast & keeps up with everyone but to see her actually race was really fun! On your mark, get set, go!

Adde & Mattison were the fastest & about ready to cross the line when - CRASH!! right into each other! Adde just got up with a big grin & shrugged her shoulders. What a good sport. On the other hand, the other girl was bawling so they let them do a redo

After race 1....

Round 2...she got in second place, right after Kayani got first place! So proud of my girlie!

1st - Kayani, 2nd - Adde & 3rd - Mattison. These 3 got to be in the final race against the winners of the other 2 kindergarten classes. It was just a big mesh of them crossing at once - except for the first place winner who was in a different class.

On to 3 legged races which are quite hysterical to watch. Adde & Kayani were grouped together & did pretty good.

Adde was also able to participate in the relay race - passing off the baton. She was in a group with Mattison, Kayani & Addie Platt. They made it to finals & were really fast....especially since they were racing against boys too. But - the same girl that Adde tripped into, dropped the baton & that slowed them down. I think they really had a good chance if that didn't happen!!

& finally - long jump. Not Adde's strong point. & why would it? she's got those tiny, short legs:)

The kids finished with some yummy snow cones in the blistery wind. It was a WINDY day. Where did spring go? Please come back
