The kids ready to start the day
Happy Fourth of July
We normally go to the Vernon Worthin park to start our fourth - but we had a friends birthday party to attend to which was way in Kelly's favor. He's not a fan of melting at the park each fourth of July. So it seemed much more chilled this year with not as quite jammed pack as normal.

Seriously - this is how Adde poses all the time now. A little attitude.

Kel & his little man - big EZ - who refused to get any picture taken whatsoever
Me & my girlie - the only pic of me all day
We always look forward to what Ester has planned for the fourth. This year - she had the kids stamp on t-shirts & they were so fun!!

Then she had them hung to dry - which just added to all the cute decorations.

Grandma did her annual treasure hunt. This year - she had all the kids draw a number & when it was their number - they got to go all by themselves & look for a piece of a puzzle to make their map to find their treasure. Very clever. No feelings hurt for not getting to find a clue either.
The kids found the loot
all the West grandkids & Wade & Julie's kids in their matching shirts. Love Lou Lou's slippers. I'm sweating just looking at them
& to end the night with fireworks at Rachel & RJ's. I have to admit - last year - I booed RJ & Kyle for such a crappy firework show - but they made up for it this year with the 5 fireworks we did have. After this, Kel & I took the kids to go see the city fireworks which were also much better than last year.

Man, Addie looks exactly like you. But you look totally different! Like the new hairdo. How long ago did you do that? I am always too scared to jump into anything to different.
