reflections

The kids both decided to do reflections this year.  The theme was the Magic of a Moment. When Ez said he wanted to do it we were a little surprised. When we asked what he wanted to do we gave him his options & he said art? I hate art! But he still went through with it because he discovered he could take a picture.  He took a picture of his Ninjagos battling.  His response was the magic of a moment is playing with toys because it makes me happy.  So cute! Adde drew a picture - she's our artistic little girl. She drew a picture of her shooting past a girl & said don't give up & magic happens. I was so proud of them & how cute their entries were.  They were by far some of the best ones there.  You should have seen the people who won - me & Kel were shocked. We went to a Reflections evening where everyone was recognized & the winners moving on were announced.  Adde or Ez did not move on & even though Adde said she wouldn't care - she took it pretty hard. She was also super sad Ezra's picture didn't win. I think she really thought she was going to move on again like last year.  & we were shocked to only see maybe 50 entries.  At Santa Clara elementary - seems like more than 1/2 the school participated.  Adde said kids in her class didn't even know what reflections was. Dad was proud of our 2 kidlets & took us all out to celebrate at JCW's.
