reflections....Diversity Means....

Last week, I received a phone call that Adde's reflection poster won & they were having an assembly today to announce all the winners. Ezra, Kel & I all went to Adde's school. She was surprised to see us but didn't know why we were there. She was very surprised & excited when they announced her name. She said she was hoping she would win but didn't think she would.

This girlie put a lot of time & effort into drawing & coloring this poster. We helped a little with the idea, but for the most part, she came up with it on her own. Especially writing about it. Her title was Different People, One World & wrote something like everyone is special & different but we all share the same world.

Everyone who participated got to stay & have an ice cream party after & then she got to come home early with us {which she was also excited about}. Now she goes onto district & even if nothing happens, we don't care, we are just so proud of Adde & all the effort she put into this. Way to go, Adde Jane!
