pumpkin patch

This year, we tried out a pumpkin patch in Santa Clara at the Johnson farm. It was VERY small but perfect for the kids. Although I would prefer to go to Staheli farms like in the past. The kids got to pet a few animals. Ezra was very intrigued with feeding the horse. Adde picked one piece of tall, sharp grass & sliced her finger. That was the end of feeding for her.
They also got to ride a horse a few times, ride on the cow train, eat a not-so-good country dinner & pick their pumpkins. Picking the pumpkins is really why we like to go. Adde is a fan of the small little ones. Ezra was trying to find the biggest one he could but Kelly told him it had to be one he would be able to carry himself. The kids are anxious to carve their pumpkins now.
My sister, Melinda, came down for a visit from Alaska & brought one of the twins, Peyton & her 4 week old baby, Brooks. It was fun to go with them there. & we LOVED having a baby around our home for a few days. He was the best little sleeper/snuggler. Adde did not leave his side & Ezra had a buddy to play the whole time. I'm so glad we got to spend some time with Melinda since we don't get to see her that often.
